New Women’s Ministry at Pea Ridge Baptist Church
A couple of weeks ago I invited local churches through the MMM email blast to share news of what their women’s ministry is up to. I wasn’t sure if anyone would respond, but by the grace of God, we did get some responses. I’m so excited to share how women’s ministries across the state are being blessed and blessing others. Our first story comes from Missy Morrison from Pea Ridge Baptist Church in Huntington, WV.
I would love to learn how to make sourdough bread. What a great idea!! Thank you for sharing, Missy!! kc
Hi….. sharing some news if there’s space and interest in the Monday’s Morning Memo. We’re super excited!
We launched a new women’s ministry on March 7th with a Sourdough for Beginners’ workshop! So thankful for our amazing instructor, Jeanette Tourville, and her detailed notes and demonstration as well as our individual starters. Twenty-seven ladies attended and this is on the heels of a 12-week Monday night Zoom bible study.
Our workshop theme was “Bread of Life,” and this was our opening prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with grateful hearts, thanking You for this opportunity to gather together as women in fellowship. We pray that the time spent together will not only deepen our knowledge but also strengthen our relationships with each other and with You. We ask for Your blessing over this class and every woman here. May it be a time of growth, joy, and connection. Lord, just as sourdough needs time to rise, we pray that we continue to seek You and invest time in our relationship with You, and that You would continue to work in our lives, growing our faith and shaping us into the women You have called us to be.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
