A Message from Georgia

A couple of months ago, Georgia Parsons emailed me the following “Message of Love and Hope.” I missed getting this out in the MMM (I’m so sorry, Georgia!), but I’m sure her sentiments are still the same. It’s amazing just how much a card and a note can encourage and lift someone up!! Keep our sister, Georgia in prayer as she continues to navigate this “bump in the road” and consider the challenge she puts forth to all the AB Women across the state….

For several weeks now, as I've come home from another doctor/or test appointment, and checked the mailbox, I have found cards of encouragement and prayers.  Among those cards have been many from WVABWM board members - past and present.  The sentiments expressed in these cards has been uplifting with scripture passages and love.   But, what has touched my heart the most has been  the "personal" notes these women wrote to me inside the card.

If you have never served on a local, association, or the state board of ABW Ministries, give the opportunity to do so much thought and prayer. It is a life changing opportunity.

My experience serving on the WVABWM board has been one of love and sisterhood that create friendships that last for years after the "experience".  These are women who love the Lord and ABWM, and give time and talents to serve Him in this way. You grow in faith and in bearing one another's burdens.

Words can't express the "Thanks" I give to each one of you - whether you sent a card or prayed for me.  I especially give "Thanks" to God for seeing me through (& still is) this "Bump in the Road".  At this time, I'm doing well and optimistic as I pray for the day I can say I've recovered.

May God bless each one of you and keep you in His care throughout your "Bumps in the Road".

A friend loves at all times.
